In its third year, fuse is a two-day immersion in design thinking…and design doing. Fuse is a powerful experience created by Mount Vernon Presbyterian School and the Mount Vernon Institute for Innovation, leaders of design thinking in education. Using our DEEP methodology – Discover, Empathize, Experiment, Produce – we empower participants to build capacity in design thinking by engaging in design challenges with expert guidance and coaching.
Building on the partnership formed for fuse13, Mount Vernon is again collaborating with Leading Is Learning, a leadership + design studio and the education incubator for Santa Fe Leadership Center. Along with DEEP design-thinking practice, fuse intentionally integrates leadership development and attends to the critical balance of Task + Maintenance.
Fuse14 is being designed to fulfill the needs of the first-time attendee, as well as the returning fuse combustionist! As iterations cycle, we’ll add even more good stuff to this site! Stay tuned and look for us on Twitter with #MVIFI and #fuse14. You can come solo, or you can bring a team. And ISTE is in Atlanta, beginning on June 28, so you may want to make plans for a more extended stay learning and designing in Atlanta!
